Assistant instructors positions 2025

The National Yacht Club is currently seeking to recruit a team of committed and enthusiastic Assistant Instructors for the 2025 summer sailing courses.

Transition Year (TY) sailors who wish to apply for the position of Assistant Instructors at NYC over summer 2025 should complete the form below before midnight on 30th April 2025

The role is relevant to any individual, 16 or over with the required certification who has completed Transition Year and is interested in encouraging children to learn how to sail under the direct supervision of NYC instructors at all times. Assistant instructors are required to hold their Motorboat licence; First Aid cert; Safeguarding cert; Garda vetting cert.

This role is an excellent opportunity to learn from qualified coaches and instructors on how to lead and deliver sessions on training courses. Please be aware that this is primarily a voluntary role with a small stipend only.

The National Yacht Club plan to run summer courses over the following dates:

Course 1: 3-13 June 2025,
Course 2: 16-27 June 2025,
Course 3: 30 June – 4 July 2025 (1 week due Volvo Regatta),
Course 4: 14–25 July 2025,
Course 5: 28 July–8 August 2025,
