SBS BoatLife: everything you need to know

0 1

The SBS BoatLife show takes place at the NEC in Birmingham from 16-19 February, with a host of exhibits, talks and attractions for sailors. In fact, the organisers say the second show will report ‘epic growth’!

Sailing exhibitors include RS Sailing, Hartley Boats, Drascombe, Rooster, Topper, with electronics from B&G, Garmin, Navionics, Raymarine and the SM Group.

There will be clothing from Mustang Survival and OceanR and activities from SailingHolidays. The activity pool will feature kayaks and other boats managed by Rockley Watersports.

Ellie Driver, voted Sailor of the Year at our British Yachting Awards in November 2022, will be speaking on the stage on 19 February at 2pm. Our columnist Tom Cunliffe will be on at noon the same day.

The previous day, 18 February, will see the winners of the British Yachting Awards for Young Sailor of the Year trophy, the Squib sailors Charlie, Harry and Tom White, speaking on stage at 1pm.

Other speakers include YouTube vloggers and numerous sailors speaking about their exploits afloat.

There will be plenty of things for all members of the family to do, including a new angling zone, an inland waterways zone and hundreds of other exhibitors offering kit and a variety of food.

The 2023 ticket cost has been reduced from last year’s price of £20 to £15, to offset the cost of NEC parking, while visitors under 16 get in for free.
