International 29er Class Announces WPNSA as Venue for 2023 Zhik 29er World Championships

The International 29er Class Association have issued the following statement:

The International 29er Class is pleased to announce the host venues for the 2023 & 2024 Worlds

2023 and 2024 Zhik 29er Class World Championships.

The International 29er Class Association is pleased to announce the host venues for the 2023 and 2024 Zhik 29er World Championships. Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy (GBR) will host the fleet for the 2023 Zhik 29er World Championship and Sailing Aarhus (DEN) will welcome the fleet for the 2024 Zhik 29er World Championship.  WPNSA and Sailing Arhus were scheduled to host the 2020 and 2021 Worlds, which were affected by the global pandemic.  The class is grateful to both of these iconic sailing venues for their support and flexibility and we are looking forward to superb championship sailing in the coming years. 

Bidding for the 2023 and 2024 Zhik 29er European Championships will open in mid-October.  Interested host venues must complete a bid package in accordance with the class’s bid requirements.  Information about how to bid will be available in the coming weeks.  Interested parties should contact class Executive Director Steph Banham (office@29er.org) to request bid materials.
