Dinghy Racers' Work Party, 25 September

Following on from the successful 2021 Day Sailors' and Junior Parents' work mornings, the last of this year's three planned work parties will be on Saturday 25 September, starting at 10 am.

On the grounds that you might like to meet other members with similar sailing interests, we aim each working party at a different section of the Club membership. Day Sailors turned out in April thiis year and Junior families in July. We suggest that Dinghy Racers join us on the 25th - but any member is welcome to join any work party or even all three! Many hands make light work.

SYC working parties offer an opportunity for members to make an entirely voluntary hands-on contribution to keeping our Club pleasant and tidy for all, whilst getting to know others whom you have not met before. Work normally starts at 10 am and continues until lunchtime. Free doughnuts and drinks are provided.

The job list varies from one working party to the next, but you can be sure that there will always be a role for members prepared to grab a wheelbarrow and shovel in order to clear the foreshore of washed-up shingle, rubble and slippery seaweed. This time we'll also be tidying away the last of the pile of wood chips left over in the dinghy park from recent tree surgery. Note to thrifty gardeners: if you were planning to help yourself to some garden mulch for free, you have until the 25th, then it's gone!
