Those sailors lucky enough to stay at the Bitter End Yacht Club in the British Virgin Islands never forget it.
The beguiling mix of crystal clear waters, predictable winds, gorgeous hillside rooms, great food and Painkiller cocktails has been a successful one for decades.
The resort was damaged catastrophically in the hurricanes Irma and Maria and major efforts are ongoing to rebuild it.
