Membership and storage renewals – prize draw – holiday for two on Hamilton island

It is time to renew memberships. The Club’s financial position is solid post the significant investment in 2019 to build the ramp and pontoon. However, the Club’s future would be grim without its primary source of funds which is membership and storage fees. The timing is not ideal but we appreciate the prompt payment of your membership and storage fees. Most fees remain unchanged from last year.

If you pay your membership by 31 May 2020 your name will go into a draw to win a holiday for two on Hamilton island.

If you have not paid by 31 May 2020 your security access may be disabled until payment is received.

Help the Club open sooner

The #COVIDSafe app has now been released, and will assist state and territory health officials to quickly contact people who may have been exposed to COVID-19.

Australian Sailing are encouraging the sailing community to download the COVIDSafe app, but note that doing so is completely voluntary.

Downloading the app is something you can do to protect you, your family and friends and save the lives of other Australians. The more Australians connect to the COVIDSafe app, the quicker we can find the virus.

Pontoon use

You may have noticed that we have removed the gate from the foreshore end of the pontoon gangway.  This was not an action of the Club’s choosing.  We were directed to do so by NSW department of transport.  We have a licence to use the ramp, pontoon and jetty.  The licence is issued by Transport NSW who also contributed 2/3 of the cost of the new ramp and pontoon.  For political reasons they require the ramp and pontoon to be accessible to the public at all times.  That said, The Club believes that this introduces safety concerns and increases the cost of maintenance.  Please note – fishing is not an authorised use of the ramp, pontoon, or jetty.  The Club is not happy with the removal of the gate and we are working with local council and transport nsw in order to resolve our differences.  If you believe, as the board does, that the safety and maintenance concerns are genuine please contact:

Minister for transport: https://www.nsw.gov.au/nsw-government/ministers/minister-for-transport-and-roads;
The local member: https://nsw.liberal.org.au/candidates/Gabrielle-Upton/Contact; and
