We have completed another year of nippers.  30 keen sailors aged 6-8 yrs old participated in this 6 week Cara Na Mara programme.  We had up to 10 helpers per week, club members aged 10-12 who sat in Club Optimists with the sailors and we would like to thank them for their support.

The National Yacht Club is delighted to host the SB20 Irish National Championship 2018 from Friday 29th June to Sunday 1st July.

Mia & I have made it a goal in 2018 to  refine our mission statement of ‘sharing the wisdom of the high seas with those wise enough to seek it out’, and we’re accomplishing that in a couple of ways.

This might be a big problem. 

Earlier this month, Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornets and EA-18G Growlers embarked aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S.

Last weekend saw 4 of our National Topper Sailors competing at the Northern Championship in Cushendall Sailing Club Natasha Hemeryck, Hugh O'Connor, Eoghan Turner and Caoimhe Seymour. The club gave us a warm welcome and a superb two day event.

Enough is enough: for the Faroese sailor Birgir Enni, having spent more than half a millennium under Danish rule means it's about time for the North Atlantic autonomous archipelago to break away.
