Volunteers welcome!

To make the 2017 edition a success, we are looking for volunteers who would like to be involved in our team.
From the 12th of September until the 3rd of October, numerous missions need to be done : setting up the race village, welcoming visitors, boats security controls, welcoming schools and so many others…
If you are interested, you can fulfill the form that you’ll find on our website and send it back at contact@minitransat.fr before the 18th of August. We will invite you at an information meeting before the end of the summer.

Mini-Transat La Boulangère escort boats

We’ve already presented you two boats of the seven that will leave in total. Today we present you the third boat.
It’s a prototype boat of 50 foot skipped by Luc Coquelin and Chantal. Luc have done four times the Rhum Road (Saint-Malo - Pointe-à-Pitre) with "Top 50". Before building "Top 50 », he has also done te Mini-Transat in 1985 and 1987.
Luc and Chantal are leading a nautic training center in Pointe-à-Pitre in Guadeloupe.
Luc is also the coach of the training center of offshore race in Guadeloupe, and will follow closely Kéni PIPEROL FRA 788, participant of the Mini-Transat La Boulangère, only one coming from Guadeloupe this year.

WPD Offshore is a company developing projects and producing green electricity. Since four years, WPD Offshore France is working on the development of an offshore site near the Oléron Island. This wind-powered site would have the production capacity equal to the consuming of the Charente-Maritime department. This projet means real energy-giving, economic and eco-friendly opportunity for the all territory. Their passion for wind and sea naturally bring them closer to the Mini-Transat la Boulangère.
