How do you stop it?

Had a great time on the lake today, bit gusty and no-one on the lake, eating Thanksgiving dinner I guess. Came in to the dock, which is short, about 30 feet in length, sharp incline. So, in Summer I'd pull the mainsheet in so the wind doesnt propel me too fast, stick a leg over the side into the water to slow my progress and jump off in the warm water.
