carbon top section damage

Hi,
My friend's carbon top section became jammed in the lower section. A well meaning person (not me!), extracted it by force. However, the carbon below the rivet on one side has been ripped out and there is a crack in the carbon on the other side. Please see the attached photos.
Can this be repaired and how? Is a professional repair needed? I'm based in the UK.
