Newbie questions

Hi, new Laser owner here. I live on a lake and always wanted to learn how to sail. I decided a Laser would be a cool option to learn and grow on. Mainly because watching guys hiked over the side seems extreme and cool. I bought a good condition 1970's classic Laser and installed all new lines.
