Water in bilge and storage area

Hi, I hope summer sailing has been good for everyone. Yesterday as I pulled my 14.2 Capri mod 1 from the water after having it docked for a month at our summer cabin in northern Wisconsin, I discovered 20 to 50 gallons of water in the bilge and forward storage area. The boat had been at dock and covered (so it wasn't the rain). I was quite surprised, and spent 10 min draining the boat on the trailer! The question is how did it fill? Do I need to look for stress cracks at the centerboard or...
