Laser 2 Mast Step Cracking

Hello all!

I have a Laser 2 with some cracking originating from the mast step and radiating out. I bought the boat just over a year ago, and believe the cracks may be getting worse.

Can't feel any kind of softness/deflection when pressed.
Are these cause for concern? If so how should I begin the repair?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
