Kick up Rudder
I picked up an old Sunfish. Neither it nor I will be racing it so I decided it needed a good simple kick up rudder.
Not counting glue drying time it took a day to make. I was able to use the original mounting holes from the old system. Here is a sketch with the dimensions I used and some pictures. I had all the wood, the SS rod and epoxy so all it cost was $15 for the 1/8” Aluminum stock at Lowe’s.
