Genoa car placement-looking for help

Ok, I realize my genoa tracks are not in the same location. When measuring the distance from the clew of the genoa to the genoa car (just marking the genoa sheet) on a close hauled point of sale, there is about a 1.5 inch difference between and the 2 cars and the cars the same hole on port and starboard. Any suggestions?
