Installing Replacement Brass/Bronze Drain Plug/Housing

The drain plug on my 1982 Sunfish was seized shut. I easily pried off the plug and housing with a putty knife and I've found a replacement brass/bronze drain plug/housing which is on the way to me. I have some questions about installing the new drain plug/housing.
