Buying A 2004 Catalina 14.2

New to sailing but not new to boating . Looking at a 2004 Cat 14.2. Any hints or ideas at what specifically I may want to be looking at would be greatly appreciated .
I thought I read that Catalina used wood or plywood under the deck . Am I wrong on this info
