Best practice for dolly transporting with sail and mast on deck

Is there a "best practice" configuration for dolly-transporting the boat with the sail and mast on the deck? On windy days I try not to rig the boat until close to or on the water. I put the daggerboard and other gear into the footwell , rolled sail + mast on the deck. Often when I'm pulling the boat though, the sail or mast annoyingly slides off the side.
