This Saturday sees Rossendale’s first visit to The Avenue. Last season the Lancashire club were champions of Regional 1 North West, but have predictably found the going tougher at Level 4. So far Rossendale have registered three wins, all against their immediate relegation contenders. When we made our first visit to Marl Pitts back on a gorgeous afternoon last October the score was 3-29, with Wharfedale scoring four tries in the process.
