Old Wesley RFC Champions Period Care with Fab Little Bag Initiative
Old Wesley RFC is proud to announce its participation in the IRFU-supported Fab Little Bag initiative, a forward-thinking programme aimed at promoting period care and awareness across rugby clubs in Ireland.
Thanks to a recent grant, the club has introduced Fab Little Bag products throughout the clubhouse and made them available to individual female players across all teams. These products are now accessible to all female players, members, officials, and supporters—just in time for the Women’s Interprovincial matches at Energia Park on August 10th and 16th, and continuing throughout the season.
Creating a More Inclusive Environment
At a recent launch event in the clubhouse, club representatives and players gathered to celebrate this important step forward. Among those present were Patricia Parfrey (Club President), Nicole Condon and Danielle Borrie (Old Wesley Touch), and Cate, Mia, and Isabella from the U16 Girls team.
Nicole Condon shared her thoughts on the initiative:
“I think I speak for all females at the club when I say that Fab Little Bag is a fantastic initiative which we welcome here at Old Wesley RFC. Having these feminine products readily available at the club’s toilet and changing facilities will not only create a more inclusive environment but also support the wider topic of period care and awareness across the sport and in society in general.”
Club President Patricia Parfrey echoed this sentiment, highlighting the club’s commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all.

Old Wesley RFC is proud to support the IRFU’s Fab Little Bag programme and to be part of a growing conversation around inclusivity and wellbeing in sport.
