Mid District Finals at Sardis Road and a Premiership Cup Standings Update
As the end of the 2024/25 season approaches Sardis Road will once again, in conjunction with the Mid District Rugby Union, be hosting numerous showpiece finals starting at the end of April and throughout May.
With so much left to play for in the current season it’s still too early to announce the clubs competing, however, here’s the schedule –
Friday 25th April: Division 3 Cup Final, 7:15pm kick-off
Saturday 26th April: Women’s Cup Finals Day, 1:30pm and 4:30pm kick-offs
Friday 9th May: Division 5 Cup Final, 7:15pm kick-off
Saturday 10th May: Division 4 Cup Final, 1:30pm kick-off, Division 1 Cup Final, 4:30pm kick-off
Wednesday 14th May: Championship Cup Final, 7:15pm kick-off
Friday 16th May: Division 6 Cup Final, 7:15pm kick-off
Saturday 17th May: Division 2 Cup Final, 1:30pm kick-off, Premiership Cup Final, 4:30pm kick-off
As a Club we are very much once again looking forward to welcoming all the clubs that will be competing for silverware over the three-week period, and there will undoubtedly be lots of quality rugby on show as usual.
We will release the finer details prior to the matches so as usual please keep an eye on our website and social media platforms in the coming weeks.
As far as the Mid District Premiership standings go, it’s getting really exciting! Since the last set of matches Bargoed have moved up into the second qualifying spot for the final at Sardis on the 17th May. Merthyr have already booked their place and will wait whilst Bargoed at Pontypridd fight it out for the right to play them in the final.
Here’s the current standings and remaining Premiership fixtures which will affect them –
26/4/2025 – Brecon v Merthyr and Ystrad Rhondda v Pontypridd
10/5/2025 – Bargoed v Pontypridd
