This comp has been too easy for him at points IMO. A lack of concentration and application is as much to blame as his form. He’s never kicked on from the player we were happy to see sign a new contract a couple of years ago and he’s got to take a good share of blame for that but I think we’ll see what he’s capable of down under.

I predict he’ll go well and we’ll all sit on here having debate as to why that is. Some will say coaching, facilities, being surrounded by better players etc and I will be in the camp that puts it down to simply focusing more and working harder because of that increased level of competition. Some of these young Wigan lads are wrapped in a comfort blanket by being at the club and aren’t pushing themselves as hard as they could.
