Dire once again. Both away games we've been nilled in the 2nd half?
I got told a while ago only reason we signed Rankin this season is that he'll be our no1 full back next season as Mamo is off. Makes total sense as he is not a half back. He is a squad playing utility back(like Gaskell).
Have we really improved under Stone?
Our discipline has got worse for me.
We knock on constantly. Smith, Gaskell and Murphy the worst culprits.
How is Daniel Smith even getting a game? A penalty machine and knock on artist and literally offers nothing more.
Do people really want to see a Brough/Rankin/Gaskell partnership next season? I dont. We need a change.
We can't creates breaks. Our one our style of rugby is dire. We don't look threatening and we struggle whenever teams start playing the ball quickly.
Our backs make other teams seem like Usain Bolts.
Very very worrying times for me. Can't see anything other than bottom 4. Do those at the club who believe we can make top 4, really, genuinely believe that? The best this squad could do for me is 8th spot this year, battling with Salford for that spot.
Our best performers this year Clough and Ferguson are the ones who are playing for new deals. Does that also say anything?
That today was my last away game off 2018 as it just seems a total, complete waste of money when I've got other priorities.
People say we have a top 4 squad on paper, can I ask how and what makes you think that we do?
The only things Giants can promise the fans in 2018 seems to be:
1. Giants to concede first, then immediately be chasing the game
2. Mamo to knock on a minute before half time
3. Come out 2nd half and give away loads of penalties and concede straight after
Too many solid players who fans think are good players and not enough genuinely quality players in this team.
Strange business regarding Wakeman etc.
What would I like to see next?
Send Smith to Dewsbury permanently and bring back Matty English for a start.
