Trafford Medals for Juniors

Royals Juniors tasted the first success of the season at Trafford Rowing Club's head race on Saturday 22 February. The race takes place on the Bridgewater Canal near Sale with competitors starting every 30 seconds. The first win of the day over the 3200m course went to the Junior 16 boys quadruple scull, competing in their first race as a new combination. The crew of Dylan Westoby, Harry Hawkesford, Jake Freer-Smith and Greg Jones beat their nearest competitors, the home club Trafford Rowing Club, by 30 seconds. The medal tally was added to by Greg Jones and Dylan Westoby winning the Junior 15 Double scull and finally Sophie Hiley and Lili Maoudis winning the Womens Novice Double Scull.
