CUBC Henley Results and Schedule

Tuesday:

Tuesday afternoon was a pleasant introduction to the races for our PA 4+, drawing Edinburgh B. The CUBC crew took a half length lead by the end of the Island, and by the quarter mile had taken clear water on the Scottish crew. They extended their lead throughout the race and were able to drop the rate through the Enclosures and savour their ‘easily’ margin.

Wednesday:

After an eventful pre-paddle leading to the crew needing to find another boat for their 0900 race, the Visitors’ 4- raced Riverside BC from Boston. The Riverside crew was composed largely of former US lightweights, so were expected to have some good speed. The CUBC/Roskilde/Penn composite was not too worried about reputation, and

Thursday:

CUBC’s women’s crew will race Oxford Brookes “B” at 1040 in the first round of their Island campaign.

CUBC’s PA crew will race Cornell Lightweights at 1440 as they seek to progress to the semi-final round of the student 4+.

Friday:

Along with racing, the 1975 Lightweight crew will participate in a reunion row at tea time, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Lightweight Club.

Saturday:

CUBC’s Ladies’ Plate crew will have their first race of the regatta.
