I think I've narrowed it down between the Subaru Crosstrek and the Mazda CX-5. I love my Mazda car so the CX-5 would be a nice upgrade. Fun and efficient for an AWD SUV but not super-capable off road. On the other hand the Crosstrek would fare better in the dirt but it's pretty under-powered, being based on the Impreza. My wife just got an Impreza and honestly I'm not that impressed with it. It's a goddamn boat. I could probably enjoy a Crosstrek if I could find a 5-speed. Those CVT trannies are NO FUN. I know it's dooshie but I like the lifted Crosstreks. Looking mean.
