I am on Skye now for our annual pilgrimage to the best scrambling in the UK - the Cuillin Ridge. I have been joined by friends and fellow instructors Huw, Dave and Sandy and between us we are looking after Claire...
Despite a mixed forecast for the day, Neil, Ben, Caroline and myself enjoyed a dry ascent of the In Pinn on the Cuillin Ridge on Skye. With it being a bank holiday, and with the weather having been pretty wet yesterday...
I am on the Isle of Skye now for our week of scrambling on the Cuillin Ridge. I left home Friday morning and headed to Keswick for lunch before enjoying a ride up and around Skiddaw - the big hulk of a mountain that sits above the town.
Over the past three days, I've been out with Blair, bagging some of the classic scrambles in Lochaber. On Thursday, we went for Curved Ridge, which was largely dry, although once in the clouds, things were a bit damp underfoot.
When I was younger I used to do a lot of Mountain Biking. I got a summer job in the school holidays and spent 6 weeks picking chillis to buy my first Mountain Bike. It was purple, it was a Carerra and I got it from Halfords.
No matter where you find yourself, it is great to have a grill around. For most people, there can never be a wrong time to enjoy a barbecue and the StowAway Hitch Mount Grill makes it possible to take your grill all over the world.
Outer Space in Leavenworth is easily one of the best 5.9 climbs in Washington State. It’s such a quality route that it also makes an appearance among Fred Beckey’s 100 Favorite North American Climbs.
