Patriots Attendance: Matthew Judon Returns After ‘Healthy’ Conversation With Jerod Mayo
FOXBORO, Mass. -- New England Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo expected to see Matthew Judon on Day 7 of training camp on Thursday.
And Judon was indeed present. He walked in a back entrance and onto the practice field in pads and his helmet. He went through opening stretches with the team.
Judon reportedly was not at the facility Tuesday after he caused a stir Monday. During New England's first padded practice, Judon, wearing a hat, walked off the field after a conversation with Mayo. He returned in flip flops and had another animated conversation with Patriots executives Eliot Wolf and Matt Groh.

Mayo told reporters prior to practice at Gillette Stadium on Thursday that he had a conversation with Judon. He described it as "great," "good" and "healthy."
"It was good. It was healthy," Mayo said. "And I always encourage those guys to come in and speak with me or speak with Eliot (Wolf), and that's what it is. And those things should happen inside the walls."
Mayo added: "We're all moving forward."
In other attendance-related news, Patriots starting center David Andrews returned after missing consecutive practices. The Boston Herald's Andrew Callahan reported Andrews' absence was due to personal reasons.
DeMario Douglas was in a red no-contact jersey for a second consecutive practice.
Christian Barmore, Tyrone Wheatley and Jaheim Bell were absent, while Jabrill Peppers and Marte Mapu were in attendance but not participating. Those were in addition New England's four players on the physically unable to perform list.
