Registration Opens for the 2024 Female Fighters Festival

The highly anticipated 2024 Female Fighters Festival (FFF) is set to take place on Saturday, 2nd March at the esteemed British Judo Olympic and Paralympic National Training Centre in Walsall.

Registration for this celebration of female judoka is now open, welcoming participants to a day filled with empowerment, skill-sharing, and camaraderie.

Celebrating Female Judoka

Following the resounding success of its inaugural event in 2022, the Female Fighters Festival has continued to flourish, attracting female judoka of all ages, from past, present, and future generations. The festival serves as a platform for female judoka to come together, fostering a spirit of collaboration and friendship while exchanging knowledge and experiences.

Action-Packed Day

Located at the heart of the Midlands, the festival promises a day brimming with activities. Attendees can look forward to masterclass sessions led by revered British Judo legends, a nutrition seminar to enhance performance, and the opportunity to engage in insightful discussions with prominent figures in British women’s judo.

Inclusive Participation

The festival is open to all female judoka aged 8 and above, inviting enthusiasts of various skill levels to partake in this enriching experience.

Train Alongside Judo Icons

Participants will have the unique opportunity to train in the same venue as British Judo royalty such as Olympic medallist Chelsie Giles, former world number one Lucy Renshall, and Commonwealth Games medallists Kelly Petersen-Pollard, Jemima Yeats-Brown, and Emma Reid.

Terms and Conditions: 1. Consent

(Herein after ‘Parent’ means a parent guardian or carer who has parental responsibility for the competitor).

I, being the above-mentioned competitor’s Parent, and I hereby confirm that he/she has my authorisation to participate in this British Judo British Judo run event.

I further confirm and warrant that, to the best of my knowledge and belief, the competitor is able to participate in the Judo event. In permitting the competitor to participate, I am aware that the event will be live streamed and there is no expectation of privacy in that regard and British Judo will utilise such live stream in relation to activities of Judo and/or for applying for funds to support these purposes.

If a medical emergency should arise during the competitor’s participation in this event at a time when I am not personally present to be consulted regarding the competitor’s care, I hereby authorise the Competition Organiser and Chief Medical Officer on my behalf to take whatever measures are necessary to ensure that the competitor is provided with any emergency medical treatment, including hospitalisation, which they deem advisable in order to protect the competitor’s health and wellbeing.

Contact will be made using the details provided in this form submission. Contact regarding this event will include pre-event information regarding this event.

Terms and Conditions: 5. Prohibited Activities

Participants, parents and guardians and spectators will not be permitted to take pictures in changing rooms, toilet areas and at the weigh in portion of the competition.

In addition, photographs taken for personal use are not to be posted on social media as this may adversely affect participants where there is a safeguarding reason for their images not to be displayed.
Terms and Conditions: 6. Disclaimer and Agreement

There will be a dedicated media team at the event in addition to a live internet broadcast of the event (connection permitting). Those conducting the filming and or photography at the event will have undergone the necessary checks.

By entering the event, all participants and parents or guardians of participants are consenting to photography/filming which may be taken by the BJA or an official BJA contractor at the event and in that regard there is no expectation of privacy. You also accept that these photographs or video may be used in future BJA social media and publications or published by the contractors in order to promote the positive aspect of our sport.
