Patriots Agree to Deals with Matthew Judon and Jalen Mills

0 10

The Patriots entered the NFL offseason with the most cap space of any team, and they are putting their money to work on Monday. They have already reportedly agreed to deals with tight end Jonnu Smith and defensive tackle Davon Godchaux, and now they’ve reached deals with two other defenders. Judon was one of the premier defensive players on the market, and he will reportedly get $56M over four years. He played last year for the Ravens under the franchise tag and has racked up 30.5 sacks over the past four years.

Mills’ deal is for four years and $24M, and the deal includes $9M in guaranteed money. He spent time as a slot corner and at both safety positions for the Eagles last season, and he’s a good fit in Bill Belichick’s defensive system.

The Pats will be looking to rebound off a 7-9 finish last year that left them on the outside of the playoffs for just the second time in the past 18 seasons. They’re currently listed at +4000 to win Super Bowl LVI on FanDuel Sportsbook.
