UK Anti-Doping Make Online Course FREE!

0 10

UK Anti-Doping have recently launched a refreshed, updated version of the Accredited Advisor Assessment (Advisor Course).

The renamed course – Clean Sport Advisor – is live and available on the UKAD Learning Zone.

The purpose of the course remains the same; to enable people to confidently support and advise athletes and athlete support personnel (ASP) on their anti-doping responsibilities. However, it is important to us to continually improve and update our education resources, and after an internal and external review of the Advisor Course we have made improvements to the structure and learning experience. The course is now split into four core modules with a summary module – which all end with an assessment. It remains free of charge.

Clean Sport Advisor Course

About the course

The Clean Sport Advisor course is an updated version of the Accredited Advisor course. A Clean Sport Advisor plays an essential role in informing athletes and their athlete support personnel (ASP) about the values of clean sport and important anti-doping information.

Who is this for?

The course is for anyone wishing to improve their knowledge of clean sport and increase the reach to protect clean sport.

On successful completion, a certificate will be issued (able to download at any time) to confirm your achievement.

The certification is valid until the 31 December 2020. With the 2021 World Anti-Doping Code coming into effect on 01 January 2021 our eLearning resources are being updated to reflect this.

Any certification prior to 01 January 2021 will be invalid and you will be required to complete the learning under the new content to ensure you are up to date with the 2021 code changes.

What will I learn?

The programme, is split into four core modules, explaining the principles of clean sport and essential anti-doping information with the role of the Advisor linked throughout.

  1. Clean Sport, Anti-Doping and 100% me
  2. Helping athletes to be clean and stay clean
  3. The testing procedure
  4. What happens when it goes wrong

How long does it take?

The course should take you approximately one and a half hours, with each module concluding with a short assessment to test your knowledge. Once you have started the course you are able to log out, save your progress and continue at another time – however, once you have started an assessment you must not leave that page until you have fully answered it.

Where do I get help?

If you experience any difficulty, please email hubenquiries@coachwise.ltd.uk or telephone (+44) 0113 2015530. The office is open 9-5 Monday to Thursday and 9:00-4:30 Friday (excluding bank holidays).

Please only proceed onto the course if you confirm you understand that completing this course does not give you the knowledge or accreditation to formally educate athletes or ASP. Completing this course does not mean that you are employed by UK Anti-Doping nor represent UK Anti-Doping (UKAD). A Clean Sport Advisor is not a type of job role/employment and should not be shown on recruitment sites as so. It is a certification of completion.
