Jim Wallhead fails USADA drug test, facing UFC anti-doping policy violation

0

Jim Wallhead recently had to pull out of a fight with Warlley Alves at UFC Gdansk. That wasn’t his worst news of the month, though.

“Judo Jimmy” failed a USADA drug test and is facing a UFC anti-doping policy violation stemming from an Oct. 7 sample collection, the promotion announced Wednesday. The sample was considered out of competition. Wallhead will now go through USADA’s results management and adjudication process.

Wallhead, 33, has dropped both of his fights in the UFC, most recently a second-round submission loss to Luan Chagas at UFC 212 in June. The England native is a longtime veteran of the sport, dating back to his pro debut in 2005. Wallhead (29-11) finally made his UFC debut last year after a well-traveled career that saw him compete in organizations like Cage Warriors, BAMMA, KSW and M-1 Global.
