SAD NEWS - PAUL ATKINS (ATKO) LIFE MEMBER
Atko came late to hockey, taking up the sport and joining the club (then Bath Civil service) in 1982 in his early 30's.
He went on to become a Captain, Coach & Umpire for the club every season since.
He once captained the 2nd team to an unbeaten two season run and represented Somerset & West Masters with distinction.
A permanent and leading member of the clubs Ancient Mariners touring side which has toured to Scotland, Holland, Ireland, Spain & Argentina over the last 25 years.
Always the first to volunteer to play, coach & umpire even during his illness this season. A true club legend who will be sadly missed.
I will advise re funeral arrangements once known.
