Pearl Jamming

I've loved Pearl Jam since I first heard them in 1991. I think it was Alive, but it could have been Even Flow, and I was off to buy Ten. Ten remains one of my favourite albums of all-time. I fucking love this band.

Pearl Jam still tour, I've seen them live several times and think they're amazing, but I haven't seen them since August 21, 2009. Today, I went with the fam to see a Pearl Jam cover band called Pearl Jamming. They were playing Etobicoke Ribfest at Colonel Samuel Smith Park. So I bought a cold Octopus Wants To Fight from Great Lakes Brewery and settled in for the show.

Pearl Jamming was great. The band was tight, the singer did a great job of sounding Vedder-esque and I had a blast. They even tagged Daughter with It's Ok from Dead Moon, my all-time favourite Pearl Jam tag!
