0 7

The Dallas Cowboys signed Tyler Smith to a four-year, $96 million extension on Saturday, making him the top-paid guard in NFL history.

Smith's deal includes $81.2 million in guaranteed money. The extension, which averages $24 million per season, runs through the 2030 season.

Trey Smith of the Kansas City Chiefs was the highest-paid guard when he signed a four-year, $94 million deal in July. His extension averages $23.5 million per season.

Tyler Smith, 24, was a Pro Bowl selection in each of the past two seasons and a second-team All Pro in 2023. His Week 1 start was his 48th straight since joining the Cowboys.

Smith was a first-round pick (No. 24 overall) from Tulsa in the 2022 draft. He will make $2.53 million this season in Year 4 of his rookie contract.
