0 18

Duncan, BC – The Cowichan Valley Capitals are bringing a local boy behind the bench for the 2025-26 BC Hockey League season.

Thomas Webber, a Cowichan Valley native, will join Cam Keith’s coaching staff for the upcoming campaign.  Webber grew up playing hockey in CV Minor Hockey, before transitioning to coaching after finishing up his playing career, spending six years with Cowichan Valley Minor Hockey. Webber has been the Lead Instructor for Webber’s Elite Hockey Development since 2019, helping players perfect their skating during the summer months.

On joining the Capitals Coaching Staff, Webber said “I’m grateful for the opportunity to join the Cowichan Valley Capitals as an assistant coach. My focus is on supporting the players and staff, helping our group reach its potential, and contributing to a successful season.

Webber will be quick to get his feet wet in the BC Hockey League, as he, along with Head Coach Cam Keith and the rest of the Capitals staff, will welcome players for Training Camp in two weeks time at the Cowichan Community Centre.  The Capitals open the preseason schedule on Saturday, September 6th on the road, as they’ll take on the Victoria Grizzlies at The Q Centre.
