Heise, Dell’Elce listed in NHL Central Scouting Final Draft Rankings
Penticton, BC – NHL Central Scouting released their final draft rankings for North American skaters and goalies, and International skaters and goalies on Tuesday.
Among those listed were Penticton Vees forward Max Heise (’06) and former defenceman Francesco Dell’Elce (’05). Heise is ranked 209th and Dell’Elce is ranked 82nd among North American skaters.
Heise, is in his second year of draft eligibility, led the Vees in goals (27) and was second fourth in points (40) in the regular season. The 19-year-old finished fourth in the BCHL in power play goals with 11. The Calgary, Alberta, product leads the Vees in playoff scoring with seven points (2G, 5A) in four games. Heise is averaging 1.75 points per game in the BCHL Playoffs, which is fourth overall in the league. Tuesday, the BCHL named him the Third Star of the Week, after he had six points in two wins over Okotoks last week. Heise is committed to Michigan State University.
Dell’Elce, just completed his freshman season at the University of Massachusetts and was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team. He led all UMass defencemen with 24 points (7G, 17A) and was second in NCAA Division l in scoring by freshmen defencemen. Dell’Elce spent the 2023-24 season in Penticton and recorded 38 points (9G, 29A) in 54 regular season games. He was named a BCHL Second Team All-Star and to the BCHL All-Rookie Team.
The 2025 NHL Draft is set for June 27th-28th in Los Angeles, California.
