VERNON VIPERS ANNOUNCE SIGNING OF DEFENSEMAN DANIIL DOLZHENKO
Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are excited to announce the signing of 2004-born defenseman Daniil Dolzhenko.
“We are thrilled to add Daniil to our team,” said Vipers Head Coach Lukas Lomicky. “He will bring a strong presence to our back end. He takes pride in defending and will be hard to play against.”
A native of Omsk, Russia, Dolzhenko has been honing his skills in North America since the 2019-2020 season, beginning with the Notre Dame Hounds Elite 15s before transitioning to junior hockey. Most recently, he played for the Wisconsin Windigo of the NAHL, where he demonstrated his offensive capabilities by recording over 20 points in each of the past two seasons.
Standing at 6’0″ and weighing 192 pounds, Dolzhenko shoots left and is known for his physical play and defensive reliability. Looking ahead, he is committed to UMass-Lowell for the 2024-2025 season.
“I’m excited to join the Vipers,” said Dolzhenko. “I can’t wait to get there and get started!”
