Vipers Swing Deal, Acquire Rights to Lucas Brennan

0 1

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers would like to announce they have acquired the BCHL Playing Rights to 2004 born forward Lucas Brennan in exchange for defenceman Linden Burrett and future considerations.

“We are extremely excited about acquiring Lucas for next season,” says Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Lukas Lomicky.  “He is a real competitor with a passion for scoring goals and has a desire to be on a successful team.  We know he will be motivated as he comes into his final year of junior hockey and we’re glad he’ll be in a Viper jersey for it.  He complements what we are trying to build here in Vernon.”

The Winnipeg, MB product spent last season in the USHL split between Cedar Rapids and Omaha.  He started his junior career in Selkirk of the MJHL where he put up a staggering 41 goals and 43 assists in just 53 games as an 18-year old.  He is 5’9, 170 pounds and is committed to Bemidji State University.

“I’m very excited to be a Viper,” says Brennan.  “I can’t wait to get to Vernon and get things going.”

Linden Burrett suited up for 36 games as a rookie last season scoring one goal and four assists in his rookie campaign.

“We would like to thank Linden for his contributions to our program last season and wish him all the best in his career,” says Lomicky.

Please join us in welcoming Lucas and his family to the Vipers organization.
