Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce that outgoing Captain and Vernon product Connor Elliott has committed to Hobart College for next season.

“I’m really excited for Connor to be continuing his playing career,” says Assistant Coach and Director of Player Personnel and Recruiting Colton Sparrow.  “Hobart is getting a top tier human being who will bring consistency and leadership to their program every single day.”

Elliott had a spectacular junior career spanning nearly 5 seasons starting as an AP with Penticton in 2019-2020.  He then moved on to the Spruce Kings for the pod season in 2020-21.  He spent the following season split between PG and Cowichan Valley.  In 2022-2023 he was acquired in a deal with Cowichan.

“I’m thrilled and excited to be joining such an awesome program,” says Elliott.  “It’s a great school with a fantastic hockey team and I can’t wait to get started.  I’d like to thank all the fans for their incredible support and an awesome two years playing at home.”

Connor suited up for 92 regular season games for his hometown team and 21 playoff games.  His final goal of junior hockey came in a memorable moment defeating Penticton in Game 4 of the playoffs in overtime.

Elliott finished his career with 16 career goals and 56 assists for 72 points in 200 games played.

Hobart College is a NCAA Division 3 Program located in Geneva, New York and play out of “The Cooler” also known as the Geneva Recreation Complex.  They are back to back Division 3 National Champions.

Please join us in congratulation Connor on this accomplishment.
