Front Line First Star of the Week: Christopher Miller

0 6

During these challenging times amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the Heat are recognizing one essential worker every Monday as our Front Line First Star of the Week in recognition of their efforts in supporting the community.

This week the Stockton Heat salute the efforts of Christopher Miller, the Operations Center Director for San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services. The County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is the the coordinating hub during the COVID-19 pandemic within San Joaquin County. The EOC team provides information to local partners and scarce supplies are distributed to frontline providers.

Some of the tasks Miller directs include establishing the public COVID-19 testing sites, distribution of donated personal protective equipment, support staff for county food banks and providing public outreach messages.

Every Monday we will recognize a front line worker for their work in the community. Each person recognized will receive a pair of Heat 2020-21 Opening Night tickets and Sutter Health t-shirt and will be recognized that night at Stockton Arena.

Fans can submit nominations for our next Front Line First Star here.
