Coach MacLean Pens Letter to Heat Fans

0 3

In light of the cancellation of the remainder of the 2019-20 regular season and Calder Cup Playoffs, announced by the AHL on Monday, May 11, Heat head coach Cail MacLean penned a letter to Heat fans.

The letter can be found below.

Heat Fans,

I wanted to write a quick note to thank you for your support all season. With your support, we experienced many highs and bounced back from a few lows, and we were excited to fight for a Calder Cup with you behind us.

We understand and support the decision made by the league to cancel the remainder of the season, but we are disappointed that we will not be able to finish what we started. Yet, as we settle in to an offseason that came earlier than any of us could’ve expected, we are proud of our team and very appreciative of our fans.

We all must continue to support each other as we move through these difficult times and, when this is all over, we are excited to return to play in Stockton next season.

Until then, thanks again for a great year. Stay safe and Go Heat.

Cail MacLean
