The Powell River Kings have almost 100 former players currently plying their trade at the collegiate or pro levels. Every week we’ll take a look at some of the notable stories and trends from the previous set of games, highlighting former Powell River King players. Midweek AHL • (Wednesday) Mat Bodie with 1 assist for Syracuse in a 2-1 overtime loss to Belleville. NCAA • (Tuesday) Brett Magnus stops 40/42 as Sacred Heart beats Bentley 4-2. • (Tuesday) Adam Brubacher with a goal and assist in a 6-3 RIT loss to Mercyhurst. Div. 3 NCAA • (Tuesday) Braeden Ostepchuk stops 19/20 and tallies an assist for Norwich University as they beat Middlebury 5-1. • (Tuesday) Liam Lawson with a goal, Matt Quilty a goal and assist and former AP Connor Logan an assist for Plattsburgh as they beat Wesleyan 7-2. • (Thursday) Mike Sones with 2 goals for UMass-Dartmouth in a 5-4 OT loss to Westfield State. Friday ECHL • Sean Maguire has been assigned to the Utah Grizzlies by the Arizona Coyotes. Stops 18/22 in a 4-3 OT loss to the Rapid City Rush.....
