Stephen Bradley update on Heimir Hallgrimsson talks as stand-by star shines

Stephen Bradley has revealed Heimir Hallgrímsson has made contact with the Shamrock Rovers boss - and that the pair will meet for a coffee and a chat in the near future. Bradley expressed his annoyance earlier this year with comments made by Hallgrímsson, which he perceived as a slight against the League of Ireland. Hallgrímsson, speaking in mid-December in the wake of Shamrock Rovers securing progress from the league phase of the Europa Conference League, suggested that the exposure could see some players move on. Bradley felt the comments were “disrespectful” and that he understood it as Hallgrímsson saying players would have to leave to play international football. Hallgrímsson attempted to defuse the situation when he named his squad for the Nations League play-off against Bulgaria, saying he wanted to meet Bradley for a chat.
