New restaurant opens at Mechanicville Golf Club

MECHANICVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A new restaurant has opened at the Mechanicville Golf Club. Owner Ezra Caron opened Off The Rails Bar & Grille on April 7.

Caron owns a construction company in Bennington and this is his first venture as a restaurant owner. Caron said he's an entrepreneur with his goal being to own a golf course in 10 years. He thought he'd start with a restaurant at one first.

"Mechanicville is pretty low on dining destinations," said Caron. "We're just excited to put out good food."

The Off The Rails Bar & Grille menus feature soups, salads, nachos, wings, burgers, ribeye, chicken parm, fettucine alfredo, chicken cordon blue, sandwiches, fish tacos, and more. You can view both the full weekday and weekend menus on the restaurant's Facebook page.

Off The Rails Bar & Grille is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Like the Mechanicville Golf Club, the restaurant is open seasonally and will close for the winter at the end of October. The golf club and restaurant are located at 45 Howland Avenue.
