Chen holds lead at 76th Singapore Open Amateur Championship

July 3: Chen Xingtong continued to keep the host nation in front after signing for a second round one-over-par 74 to hold a five-shot lead over Malaysia’s Ng Jing Xuen with her two-day total of five-under-par 141 at the 76th Singapore Open Amateur Championship on Wednesday.

The 15-year-old mixed her card with three bogeys against two birdies as Ng, the reigning SEA Games Individual Gold Medalist, made her move with another 73 to take outright second place in the ladies division.

In the men’s division, Philippines Enrique Dimayuga posted another identical 69 to take over the second round lead with his 138 total while Malaysia’s Rizq Adam Rohizam fired a 68 to stay one shot back of the Dimayuga in second place.
