THE PLAYERS Championship: Bet Tommy Fleetwood?
Golf betting has exploded around the country thanks to expanding the betting menu that now includes new offerings to supplement the outright winners market. One of those offerings includes the top-10 market, which can still result in a profitable payout for bettors. This week, one player to keep an eye on in that market is Tommy Fleetwood at +550.
Fleetwood was in Florida last week to take part in the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill. He finished tied for tenth and shot three under par for the week. In Florida events, he has six top-10 finishes in 10 appearances. He’ll be hoping to improve on that mark this week when he tees off at THE PLAYERS Championship at Sawgrass. The Englishman held the outright lead in this tournament two years ago before fading down the stretch and finishing tied for fifth place. In 2018 he finished tied for seventh, which was another top-10 finish at Sawgrass.
Fleetwood has a knack for rounding his game into form just as the PGA Tour schedule heads to Sawgrass. If he can stay afloat and avoid the bad round that has often plagued him at the bigger tournaments, he’ll be a threat for another top-10 finish on a course that he’s been able to enjoy some success at.
