Women’s Champion of Champions and National Rosebowl

The Otago Women’s Champion of Champions and National Rosebowl were played on Sunday 17th October on the Cromwell Golf Course.

It was a challenging day for most with a strong cold wind sweeping across the Cromwell course but the course was in amazing condition and looked a picture.

The Silver Champion for the year played over 36 holes was Wakatipu Junior Danielle Bailey with scores of 76 and 79-155. Liz McRae (Wanaka) and Susan Greig (St Clair) finished tied for second with total 162.

The Bronze Champion was Sue Adam from Island Park with Janet Cochrane (Wanaka) second and third Juliet Kenworthy (Chisholm Links)

In the Bronze Runner up section Chris Chambers for St Clair won with nett 142, Raewyn Prattley (Chisholm Links) second and Carole Smith (Arrowtown) third.

The 18-hole Champion of Champions sections  Jackie Hamilton from Cromwell won the Silver Championship with a score of 81. Bronze was won by Anne Robertson (Tapanui) and Bronze Runner up was won by Cromwell’s Jean Mclellan.

The National Gross Stablford (Tup Ellis) Rosebowl was won by the St Clair team of Susan Greig

Leah Mckay and Chris Chambers with team score of 115 their score will now go forward to New Zealand Golf to decide the National Rosebowl Champions for 2019, Wanaka’s Liz McRae, Janet Cochrane and Shona Moore came home in second and Queenstown’s Danielle Bailey, Phillippa Bell and Nola Pratt finished Third.

In the Otago 18 Hole event local team (Cromwell) of Jackie Hamilton Siggi Keis and Jean McLellan won the Judy Muir Rosebowl for 2019.
