RESULTS: 2019 NOGA 55/25 Four-Ball

In a field of strong teams made up of one player age 55+ and one player age 25+, a pair of twosomes tied at the top with the kind of low scores expected from a strong field.

It took a 7-under par 65 to earn a share of the victory at the inaugural 2019 Northern Ohio Golf Association 55/25 Four-Ball Tournament on Monday at Silver Lake.

The team of Tom Skidmore and Jeff Meagrow tied with the team of Marc Fried and Chris Okeson in the better ball format.

Skidmore and Meagrow made six birdies on their day, off-setting a lone bogey on the par-4 13th with an eagle-3 on the par-5 second hole by Jeff.

Okeson made a sizzling seven birdies on his own ball while Fried made three (and a covering par), but a bogey by both players at the par-3 12th was the difference between an outright victory and a T1. (A pair of skin winners likely made up for their 12th hole disappointment, though.)

The father/daughter team of Erin and Don Misheff finished in solo third place at 6-under par 66, one shot back of the winners.

Eddie Neer and Steve Pasquale captured the A Division of the 55/25 with a score of 1-under par 71, good for a three shot win over a pair of teams.

In the B Division, Mark Graziani and Ed Ruper cruised to a five-shot victory with a 74.
