As she has done often in her 53 years, Dottie Pepper proved that you can go home again.
Pepper, Saratoga County's gift to the LPGA and golf broadcasting, returned Friday night to the course where she learned to play for the New York State Golf Association Hall of Fame induction.
The only living honoree in the four-member class, Pepper was given the opportunity to choose a location for the dinner and ceremony. She picked Brookhaven Golf Club, about 10 miles northwest of her native town of Saratoga Springs.
"I've had many people over these past few months say, 'Why Brookhaven?' " Pepper said in her acceptance speech. "Well, a significant part of my youth sports experience was spent on this very road.
